my pct so far: part 3

on the knife’s edge!

this section of the pacific crest trail in washington was absolutely gorgeous and — for me and my hiking partner, Blue Magic — the most hair-raising!

the pct stretch known as “knife’s edge” had stunning scenery, but we almost couldn’t enjoy it because portions of the trail were so narrow that we feared tripping and falling to our deaths! i’d look 20 feet ahead to see where the trail was generally going, then focus straight ahead and look where i was placing my feet. moving at a snail’s pace, we were passed by numerous other hikers.

sadly these were my last days on trail with Blue Magic, as she needed to return to work. i would miss hiking with her, but i had a long way to go!

note: in the video i misspoke about my day 9 starting trail mile; the info below is correct.
